Sandra Cauffman

Sandra Cauffman is currently serving as the Deputy Director of NASA’s Earth Sciences Division. Born in Costa Rica and trained as an engineer, Ms Cauffman has served NASA for over 30 years in a variety of leadership and technical roles, including working on the Mars MAVEN mission and being the Deputy System Program Director for GOES-R.

In addition to having been awarded the NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal and Exceptional Leadership Medal, Ms Cauffman was highlighted by UN Women as being an outstanding role model for women and girls in STEM and has given a TED talk!

Victor Gensini

VictorGensini

Victor Gensini is an Associate Professor in the Weather, Climate, Society Research Group at Northern Illinois University where his work is centered around extreme weather and climate, with specific interests in severe convective storms, synoptic and mesoscale meteorology, and geoscience data visualization.

Dr. Gensini earned his Ph.D. at the University of Georgia and has held positions at College of DuPage and Argonne National Laboratory. Dr. Gensini has supervised 3 M.S. students and 1 Ph.D. student, and has authored 24 peer-reviewed publications with over 600 citations!
